How to make it

  • Prepare the steak by slicing with a sharp serrated knife on a bias into thin strips.
  • Combine with teriyaki sauce in a large bowl. Add a handful of sesame seeds. I've found Soy Vay to be a great brand of teriyaki that already has the sesame in it.
  • Marinate the beef overnight or at least for a few hours.
  • Thread onto small wooden skewers.
  • Grill on a hot grill for 2 or 3 minutes until slightly charred on the outside but still pink inside.
  • If you can't grill: place a cooling rack on a sheet pan and bake the skewers on that in the oven at 400 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes.
