How to make it

  • In a large saucepan bring water, salt, garlic salt, pepper and sugar to a boil.
  • Drop bite size pieces of halibut into boiling water and cook until halibut floats back to the top (indicating the meat is cooked).
  • Remove from water and serve with melted butter and lemon juice.

    I eat this occasionaly in little Diner in Wisconsin. I believe they use cod though so it was Poor Poor Manns Lobster..... ;-)~~ I like this recipe... Thanks... Jim
