Hazelnut Chunk Brownies

- 1/2 cup hazelnuts shopping list
- 1 cup unsalted butter shopping list
- 2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 4 eggs beaten to blend shopping list
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder shopping list
- 1 tablespoon vanilla shopping list
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 7 ounces semisweet chocolate coarsely chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 then toast hazelnuts and remove husks then coarsely chop.
- Lightly butter a rectangular baking pan.
- Melt 1 cup butter in heavy large saucepan over low heat.
- Remove from heat and whisk in sugar, eggs, cocoa and vanilla then stir in flour and salt.
- Add chopped chocolate and nuts then spread batter in prepared pan.
- Bake until tester inserted in center comes out barely moist but not wet about 30 minutes.
- Cool in pan on rack. Then cut into squares.
