Caribbean Turkey Burgers With Tropical Salsa Recipe
CARIBBEAN TURKEY BURGERS WITH TROPICAL SALSA This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Ackerman Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1989.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 15 ounce can crushed pineapple well drained and divided
  • 2 tablespoons green onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 2 teaspoons Caribbean jerk seasoning
  • Salsa:
  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple or chopped mango
  • 1 tablespoon jalapeno pepper very finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 4 hamburger rolls
  • Lettuce

Directions
  1. Lightly mix together turkey, 1/3 cup crushed pineapple and next three ingredients.
  2. Shape mixture into four burgers.
  3. In a small bowl mix together all salsa ingredients then set aside.
  4. Grill burgers over medium heat or in nonstick skillet 5 minutes per side.
  5. Place on hamburger rolls then top with salsa and lettuce.
