Ingredients

4 slices Swiss cheese 3/4" thick

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1 egg well beaten

2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs

1 cup shortening

Directions

Sprinkle cheese with salt then dip in flour then in beaten egg.

Fry quickly in hot shortening until golden brown.
