CABBAGE SALAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Butler Estate in Irving, Texas in 1988.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup finely shredded green cabbage
  • 1 carrot shredded
  • 1 cup finely shredded red cabbage
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced celery
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Dressing:
  • 3/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons honey

Directions
  1. Toss cabbage in finely sliced or shredded strips, carrot and celery.
  2. Combine all dressing ingredients then toss cabbage in dressing.
  3. Garnish with sunflower seeds.
