Ingredients

How to make it

  • Open a bottle of Red Wine. Preferably your favourite and pour a large glass and sip.
  • Heat the oil in wok or large Pan and reduce the heat to a medium setting.
  • Add the onion, mixed herbs, chilli and cumin seeds and stir fry for about 5 mins or until the onions start to turn a little transparent.
  • Stir frequently to prevent the onions from sticking.
  • Have a sip of wine.
  • Add the minced beef and cook until all the beef has turned from pink to brown.
  • Have several sips of wine. Top up glass if necessary.
  • Add the Kidney beans and stir.
  • Cook for about 5 mins until the kidney beans start to soften
  • Add the Marmite, (or the Chocolate if your haven't already eaten it !!) chopped tomatoes, Chillis, Corriander, Garam Masala and Paprika and stir well
  • Let this heat up until everything is simmering.
  • Remember. Don't ignore your glass of wine!
  • Add the tomato Puree and stir
  • Add the red & green peppers, mushrooms, chopped Garlic and stir well.
  • Let this cook for about 30 mins.
  • ALWAYS keep trying the sauce, and add more seasoning if you want to.
  • Add chilli powder or chilli flakes if you want it a little more hot !

    Brilliant!
I do something similar, yours has more ingredients in it, but its missing a couple of squares of dark chocolate.
80% chocolate, gives it a little twist to the flavour & lifts it.
    I love Marmite!!!
