~Groundhog~ I wanted an early spring!

Ingredients
  • 1 Groundhog
  • Bacon Slices
  • Salt
  • Sweet Potatoes

Directions
  1. Catch the groundhog.
  2. Dress it and soak in salted water for 12 hours,depending on size and age of said groundhog.
  3. Pour off water and parboil in salted water for 3/4 of an hour.
  4. Prepare the dressing and stuff groundhog.
  5. Sew up cavity and place in baking pan with just a little water.
  6. Place in oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Pour off liquid and reserve it for later use.
  8. Lay partially boiled sweet potatoes around groundhog.
  9. Place bacon strips across groundhog and potatoes.
  10. Pour reserved liquid over all and let bake for 1 hour,basting frequently.
  11. ~Note~ I am just kidding Punxsutawney Phil!

Cute, I should give this recipe to my husband. He is a GroundHogs day baby.
