Cream of Onion Soup

- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups thinly sliced onions shopping list
- 1 tablespoon flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 4 cups cream shopping list
- 4 beaten egg yolks shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Sauté onions in butter over medium low heat until golden brown.
- Stir in flour and salt then add cream and simmer covered until onions are tender.
- Pour a small amount of soup into egg yolks and mix then pour mixture into soup and stir well.
- Heat through but do not allow it to come to a boil.
