My husband and I have ever had neck roast. We had 3 of them. I checked out with a few fellow hunters and they say slow cook. be oven or slow cooker. I opt for the slow cooker. AWESOME!

Ingredients
  • flour, seasoned with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper
  • venison neck roast
  • sm. onion, sliced
  • 2 stalkes celery, cut into chunks or whatever
  • 3/4 c. white grape juice

Directions
  1. Dredge roast into flour, than brown in a hot oil pan, all sides
  2. put roast into slow cooker, add celery, onions and white grape juice
  3. Cover and cook for 5 hours.
  4. Take out and let rest for 5 minutes. meat comes right off the bone.
