Drunk Baked Apples and Flamed Bananas

- 4 large cooking apples shopping list
- 4 large bananas shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 4 ounces mixed dried fruit shopping list
- 2 ounces chopped walnuts shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 2 tablespoons brandy shopping list
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 1-1/2 ounces butter shopping list
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 4 teaspoons rum shopping list
- whipped cream shopping list
How to make it
- Wash and core the apples then score around middle with sharp knife to prevent bursting.
- Mix together or blend in a food processor the dried fruit, nuts, cinnamon and brandy.
- Stuff mixture into the apples then place in ovenproof dish.
- Add 1/4" water and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
- Slice bananas in half lengthwise then melt butter in skillet over gentle heat.
- Add sugar and cinnamon then stir well and add the bananas.
- Cook gently on either side for 5 minutes.
- Add rum to pan and allow to heat up a few minutes then light rum with a match.
- Serve immediately with the baked apples and whipped cream.
