Kidney Bean Patties Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 can kidney beans rinsed and drained
- 1 medium tomato finely chopped
- 1 small red onion finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper seeded and finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions
- Mash beans with a fork.
- Mix in vegetables, cornmeal and seasonings.
- Form into 6 patties.
- Fry in a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat until browned on both sides.
