Baked Ziti Recipe
Easy to make baked ziti that is flavorful and packed full of cheesy goodness!

Ingredients
  • 6 cups ziti, uncooked (16 oz)
  • 3 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce (32 oz)
  • 2 cups Ricotta cheese (16 oz)
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions
  1. Cook ziti according to package directions for 10 minutes; drain.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cooked ziti, 1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce, Ricotta cheese, Mozzarella cheese, parsley, egg, oregano, garlic powder and pepper.
  3. In a 3-qt. casserole, pour 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce.
  4. Spread ziti mixture evenly over sauce.
  5. Top with remaining 1 1/2 cups spaghettinsauce.
  6. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake, covered, at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

Alterations


I added some extra grated Mozzarella cheese on top of the casserole at my daighter's suggestion. It melted and made the dish extra good.
