CELERY AU GRATIN

- 1 small bunch celery, cubed shopping list
- 2 Tbsp margarine shopping list
- 3 Tbsp flour shopping list
- a little salt and pepper, to taste shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar is our favorite for this) shopping list
How to make it
- 1 small bunch celery, cubed --Cover with salted water and cook covered, until clear and tender.
- DO NOT COOK TOO LONG because it is going to bake. Drain well, before placing into 1 1/2 quart casserole.
- Make Sauce --Over low heat melt 2 Tbsp margarine.
- Add 3 Tbsp flour, salt and pepper, 1 cup milk, 1 cup grated cheese
- If it gets too thick, you may add a little more milk, a few spoonsful.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Pour over drained celery in casserole dish.
- Bake 350 for 30 minutes.
