Dark Moist Muffins

- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1 cup bran shopping list
- 4 tsp. dry buttermilk or dry milk powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/3 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup dark corn syrup shopping list
- 2 tbsp. molasses shopping list
- 1/4 cup oil shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/3 cup raisins shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. grated orange zest shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- Glaze: shopping list
- 3 tbsp. dark brown sugar shopping list
- 3 tbsp. shortening shopping list
- 2 tbsp corn syrup shopping list
- 2 tbsp. water shopping list
How to make it
- Mix glaze and distribute into the bottom of the muffin tin.
- Combine all dry ingredients set aside.
- Mix together brown sugar,corn syrup, molasses,oil egg.
- Puree raisins,orange zest and water in food processor, or blender.
- Stir all together the dry,wet and blended.
- Fill each muffin 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees 20 minutes. or until wood pick comes out clean. Immediately invert muffins onto foil or wax paper to cool. Makes approx. 14 muffins
