Barbqued Pork Loin

- * 1 pork loin roast, bone-in, about 5 pounds shopping list
- * 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- * 2 tablespoons butter or vegetable oil shopping list
- * 3/4 cup water shopping list
- * 3/4 cup ketchup shopping list
- * 1/2 cup cider vinegar shopping list
- * 3 tablespoons brown sugar shopping list
- * 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- * 3/4 teaspoon dried leaf oregano shopping list
- * 3/4 teaspoon ground paprika shopping list
- * 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- * 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- * 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard shopping list
- * 1/8 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- * dash ground cloves shopping list
How to make it
- Place pork roast on rack in a shallow roasting pan.
- Roast at 325° for about 20 to 25 minutes per pound, or until about 160° to 170° on meat thermometer.
- Meanwhile, make sauce
- . Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium low heat; add onion and sauté until tender. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Baste pork roast with the barbecue sauce several times during the last 30 to 45 minutes of roasting time.
