Grandmas Simple Banana Bread

So easy to make, uses 3 bananas that might have gone to waste. Smells great while baking, tastes even better.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening (she always used Crisco) shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 3 large very ripe bananas shopping list
- 1/4 pound chopped nut meats (optional) shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Cream sugar and shortenning
- stir in eggs
- add bananas crush them with the spoon and mix
- add remaining ingredients and mix well
- batter will be soft, pour into loaf pan
- Bake @ 350 for 1 hour.
- Check for doneness: a toothpick will come out clean.
- Delicious!
