Chocolate Walnut Tart

- 1-1/2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter melted shopping list
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 2-1/2 cups walnut pieces toasted shopping list
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate shopping list
How to make it
- Adjust rack to lowest setting in oven then preheat oven to 350.
- Combine flour and sugar then stir until well blended.
- Add butter and rub it together with your fingertips until mixture becomes crumb like.
- Add egg and using a fork mix it into the dough.
- Using your hands press dough evenly into a tart pan with a removable rim then set aside.
- Combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a bowl then stir until well blended then stir in nuts.
- Place chocolate in the upper portion of a double boiler over barely simmering water.
- As the chocolate begins to melt which will be very quickly stir it.
- Once melted remove and set aside to cool slightly before adding it to the filling mixture.
- Spoon filling into the tart pan then bake on lowest rack for 20 minutes.
- Remove pan to a rack to cool then remove pan rim and cut into wedges.
