How to make it

  • Combine salad dressing mix, flour, salt and lemon juice.
  • Dip and coat chicken evenly with mixture then stack chicken pieces in a bowl.
  • Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
  • Combine pancake mix, paprika, sage and pepper.
  • Dip chicken in milk then in pancake coating and dust off excess.
  • Lightly brown in skillet with 1/2" vegetable oil in it.
  • Brown 4 minutes per side then remove and place in a single layer in shallow baking dish.
  • Seal with foil then bake 1 hour at 350.
  • Uncover and baste with milk then return uncovered for 30 minutes longer.
