How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix together 3/4 cup margarine, 1 cup granulated sugar, all 4 eggs, the vanilla extract, the can of chocolate syrup, and the flour until smooth. Pour into a 13 x 9 greased pan and bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
  • In a separated bowl mix together the powdered sugar, milk, peppermint extract, food coloring, and cream cheese. Spread over the cooled cake. Refrigerate until hard.
  • Combine the chocolate chips and remaining 6 tablespoons of margarine in a microwave safe bowl and microwave at 50% power for 1 minute. let cool and spread on top of dessert.
  • Refrigerate until just before serving. Cut into small squares to serve.
