Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 cups of flour
  • 1/2 tsp. of baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. of salt
  • 1 cup of firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups of uncooked oats
  • 6 onces of semi-sweet chocolat chips

Directions
  1. In a small bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt
  2. mix well
  3. in a large bowl, beat together sugar and butter untill light and fluffy
  4. blend in eggs and vanilla
  5. add four mix and mix well
  6. stir in oats
  7. then add chocolate chips
  8. put on a greased cookie sheet
  9. bake for10-12 min at 350 degrees F
  10. cool

Now this is my kind of cookie. I haven't made cookies in ages. I like cakes and pies mostly but I will have to give these a try.

These are delicious. I always love a new cookie recipe. Very easy too, I highly recommend this one!


This is a great recipe. Next time I will make the cookies a lot smaller tho as some of the larger ones were brown around the edges, but the middle was still really mushy. They still tasted great but just fell apart easily.


We are making the cookies as you read this. we are going to use butterscotch for half the batch

Alterations


I didn't have 3/4 cup of butter. I used 1/2 cup butter and 1/4 cup vegetable shortening. I also added a little more flour (less than 1/4 cup) since the batter was so soft.
