My Aussie Meat Pie Recipe
This is my version of a aussie meat pie. tastes good to me

Ingredients
  • 600 grams beef mince
  • 2 large onions diced finely
  • 4 pieces of garlic diced finely
  • 2 tblsp flat leaf parsley chopped fine
  • 500ml beef stock
  • 3 tblsp bbq sauce
  • 3 tblsp tomato sauce(ketchup)
  • 2 tblsp soya sauce
  • 3 heaped tblsp gravy powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • puff pastry sheets

Directions
  1. take pastry sheets out to thaw. preheat oven to 220 degrees
  2. Heat some olive oil in a pan, fry onions, garlic and parsley for about 4 mins. Add mince beef and cook until brown.
  3. add beef stock and sauces and simmer for 5 mins.
  4. add gravy powder, salt and pepper and simmer on low for a couple of minutes. take of heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
  5. This makes three 18 inch pies
  6. cut pastry to fit the dishes.
  7. disperse the filling in the pies.
  8. Then with all the left over pastry from the base, just lay on top so it is covered. pierce holes on the top of pie with a knife.
  9. Then egg wash
