Bananas With Peanut Caramel Cream Recipe
BANANAS WITH PEANUT CARAMEL CREAM This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Brimley Estate in Garland, Texas in 1999.

Ingredients
  • 6 medium bananas
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • Sauce:
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter

Directions
  1. Slice bananas and toss in lime juice then divide evenly between 6 small serving bowls.
  2. Spoon cold sauce over top and top with whipped cream.
  3. To make sauce melt butter in small saucepan then add sugar and condensed milk.
  4. Stir without boiling until sugar is dissolved then increase heat and stir 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let bubbles subside.
  6. Stir in sour cream, cream and peanut butter then refrigerate until cold.
