- 1-2 T. olive oil shopping list
- 1 t. minced garlic shopping list
- 2 t. minced ginger shopping list
- 1/2 an onion, coarsely chopped shopping list
- 2 t. cumin shopping list
- 1 t. black pepper shopping list
- 1 t. cinnamon shopping list
- 1 t. coriander shopping list
- 1/2 t. cardamon shopping list
- Shake of cloves and nutmeg shopping list
- Second - 2 med'-large coarsely chopped tomatoes or a can diced tomatoes shopping list
- Third -- 2 potatoes, peeled and chopped shopping list
- 2 15 oz. cans drained chickpeas, ( reserve the liquid ) shopping list
- 1/2 t. salt ( or not ) shopping list
- 1 c. frozen peas shopping list
- Fourth -- 1 T. garam masala, added 10 minutes before serving shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Heat the first ingredient list until onions are brown around the edges.
- 2, Add the tomatoes to the onion mixture and cook, stirring 3 minutes or so til the tomatoes are soupy.
- 3. Add the third group of ingredients to the pot and add the reserve liquid just to cover the bean mixture. ( add a little water if necessary ) .
- 4. Simmer uncovered on medium - low heat for 40 minutes or so.
- 5. Add garam masala the last 10 minutes of simmering.
