How to make it

  • Boil potatoes until tenber but firm, dran, cool (cold water can help this along) and slice thin. set aside.
  • In a large skillet cook bacon over med-high heat until very brown; set aside leaving drippings in pan. Set aside. (while the bacon is being cooked combine flour through pepper in a smal bowl).
  • Saute onions in drippings until golden brown. Stir in flour mixture and cook until bubbly stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat, add water and vinegar then return back to heat and bring to a boil stirring constantly (1 minute).
  • Carefully stir potatoes and bacon back into skillet and heat through.

    I MADE THIS GERMAN POTATO AND IT CAME OUT JUST LIKE MY MOTHER. I MISS YOUR VERY MUCH.SHE HAD PAST WITH BREAST CANCER. I MISS EATING HER GERMAN AND POLISH FOOD .I HOPE I LREAN MORE TO COOK THIS FOOD.
