Peas And Asparagus In Cream Sauce Recipe
Vegetables in creamy sauce. Serve over baked or fried potatoes.

Ingredients
  • Can asparagus cuts and tips
  • frozen peas
  • 1 oz. butter
  • tablespoon plain flour
  • teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1 cup milk
  • tablespoon cream
  • salt and pepper

Directions
  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat, saute the flour for 2 minutes, add mustard and remove from the heat.
  2. Stir in the cup of milk and cream and mix until smooth. Return to heat and stir constantly, add asparagus and frozen peas when the sauce has thickened, simmer for another minute then let to cool. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Serve over baked veggies.
