How to make it

  • Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat, saute the flour for 2 minutes, add mustard and remove from the heat.
  • Stir in the cup of milk and cream and mix until smooth. Return to heat and stir constantly, add asparagus and frozen peas when the sauce has thickened, simmer for another minute then let to cool. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve over baked veggies.
