Chicken In Cream Sherry Sauce

- 4 large skinless chicken breast cut in half. shopping list
- Small amount light cooking oil. shopping list
- __ shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1 (0.7 oz.) dry Italian salad dressing mix shopping list
- 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom soup shopping list
- 2/3 cup sliced fresh mushrooms shopping list
- 1/2 cup cream sherry ( no substitutes please) shopping list
- 8 oz. package cream cheese shopping list
- Fresh chopped chives shopping list
- ___ shopping list
- 1 box Thin Spagetti or angel hair pasta will do. shopping list
How to make it
- Note; Use a large heavy bottom skillet that has a good fitting lid.
- In a hot skillet with a small amount of cooking oil.
- Quickly fry the chicken pieces just until lightly browned on both sides.
- Turn off the heat & set aside.
- In a med. sauce pan melt the butter & cream cheese over med/low heat, stir until creamy smooth.
- Add all the remaining ingredients except the chives.
- Cook and stir the sauce just long enough to combine all of the ingredients well.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken pieces. in the skillet.
- Cover & cook over a low heat setting for 3 to 4 hours.
- No need to stir but once or twice.
- Prepare the pasta as directed on box

- Place a stack of pasta on each plate
- Top with the chicken & sauce.
- Sprinkle with chives.
- Serve along with a nice green salad and some garlic bread and you have a great meal!
