How to make it

  • Put the 1/2 cup of flour in a shallow bowl with all of the seasonings except the thyme and mix through
  • Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour
  • Dredge them again
  • Place them in a glass baking dish and bake them at 375 for approx. 40 minutes
  • Start the butter sauce by melting the butter in a heavy sauce pan, letting it color a little bit if you like
  • Add the 2 tbsp of flour and stir over heat until well incorporated
  • Add the chicken broth and thyme, and whisk it over medium heat until it comes to a boil and thickens
  • Serve over the chicken, or in a gravy boat on the side
