Very Tasty Caramelized Onions Recipe
VERY TASTY CARAMELIZED ONIONS This recipe comes from my catering partner. He perfected this recipe and we often serve it at backdoor parties or bachelor parties. Always a big hit.

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 large onions thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  1. In large skillet heat oil over medium high heat.
  2. Sauté onions stirring frequently 15 minutes or until very soft.
  3. Reduce heat to low and add vinegar and sugar.
  4. Cook until liquid is nearly evaporated about 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
  5. Season with salt and pepper then serve immediately.
