Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tbls sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp butter
  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tbls instant minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp dried whole dillweed
  • 1 tbls butter, melted
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Directions
  1. Scald milk; remove from heat.
  2. Add sugar, salt, and 2 1/4 tsp butter; stir until sugar dissolves and butter melts.
  3. Cool 105 - 115 degrees.
  4. Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large bowl.
  5. Add cooled milk mixture, flour, onion, and dillweed; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer ubtil smooth.
  6. Cover and let rise in a warm place, free from drafts, 45 minutes or until tripled in bulk.
  7. Punch down the dough.
  8. Beat with a wooden spoon for 30 seconds.
  9. Place in a prepared 9 inch pie pan.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  11. Brush top with melted butter; sprinkle with salt, if desired.
