Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine first 3 ingredients, mixing well.
  • Press mixture into the bottom of a 10 inch spring form pan; chill.
  • Beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until light and fuffy; gradually add brown sugar, mixing well.
  • Add eggs one at time time beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in vanilla and 1 cup of chopped pecans.
  • Spoon into prepared pan.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
  • Turn oven off and allow for cheescake to cool in oven for 30 minutes.
  • Let cool to room temperature and allow to refrigerate for 8 hours.
  • Remove sprinform pan from sides of cake.
  • If desired top with whipped cream and garnish top of cake with pecan halves.
  • Press additional chopped pecans onto the sides of the cake.

    This sounds decadent. Nothing better than cream cheese and pecans. Yummers and a very high 5.

    So not to have so much contrast in textures, it is an idea to ground the chopped pecans before adding them to the cream cheese mixture. It would even have a better look to have ground pecan garnish the sides of the cake as well.
