How to make it

  • In large pot heat olive oil over low heat then add onions and cook stirring frequently 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle onions with sugar, oregano, coriander, cumin, allspice and cinnamon.
  • Cook another 20 minutes stirring occasionally then stir in vinegar and orange juice.
  • Cook another 5 minutes then sprinkle with flour and cook stirring constantly for 1 minute.
  • Stir in stock and bring to boil over medium then lower heat and simmer covered for 20 minutes
  • Stir in the salt and pepper and serve immediately.
