How to make it

  • In bowl, add onion soup mix and water
  • Let stand 5 minutes
  • In large saucepan, melt butter over low heat
  • Add flour and stir until smooth
  • Cook for a minute, constantly stirring
  • Gradually add milk, cooking over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth
  • Stir in onion soup mixture, cheese, cheese spread, and pimiento
  • Stirring constantly, cook until cheese melts
  • Transfer to Fondue pot to keep warm
  • Serve with French bread cubes
