Ingredients
  • 1 ¾ cup self raising flour
  • ¼ cup wholemeal self raising flour
  • 1 tsp grated citrus peel (any, i used mandarin 'cause its all i had on hand)
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 70g butter
  • ¼ cup raw sugar
  • 1/3 cup sultanas
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 egg (beaten)

Directions
  1. In a biggish bowl combine flour, peel and allspce. Rub in the butter.
  2. Mix in the sugar and sultanas, then add milk, vanilla and egg.
  3. Preheat oven to 190°C. Place 2 rough balls of mixture (about 2 Tbsp each) on a lined baking tray.
  4. Sprinkle with extra raw sugar and bake for
  5. 15-18 minutes, till golden.
