Bella Costas Veal Milanese Recipe
Bella Costa is our local Italian restaurant. We go there quite often. Have been here about 23 years. The veal milanese is delicious.

Ingredients
  • 1 veal cutlet(about 5-6 ozs)
  • flour for dredging
  • 2 Tbs butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp garlic,chopped
  • 1/2 onion,chopped
  • 1 green or red pepper,or combination,chopped
  • 3 Tbs sherry
  • 3-4 Tbs veal stock or chicken stock
  • 3/4 c prepared marinara sauce

Directions
  1. With meat mallet,pound the veal until flat. Dredge in the flour.
  2. Heat the butter in a saute pan. Saute veal over low heat on both sides until golden. Add the garlic,onion and peppers. Saute till vegetables are soft. Drain and discard any accumulated liquid.
  3. Add the sherry,stock and marinara sauce. Let simmer till reduced by about half.. Serve plain or with pasta.
