Swiss Steak Supper

- 1 1/2 lbs. beef boneless round steak, cut into 6 serving pieces shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. season salt shopping list
- 6 to 8 new potatoes, cut into fourths shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups baby-cut carrots shopping list
- 1 medium onion, sliced shopping list
- 1 can diced tomatoes with garlic, basil and oregano shopping list
- 1 jar (12 oz.) home-style beef gravy shopping list
- Chopped fresh parsley, if desired shopping list
How to make it
- Mix black pepper and season salt together.
- Spray 12 - inch skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat.
- Sprinkle beef with peppered season salt. Cook beef in skillet 6 to 8 minutes, turning once, until brown.
- Layer beef, potatoes, carrots and onions in slow cooker.
- Mix tomatoes and gravy. Spoon over vegetables.
- Cover and cook on low heat setting for 8 hours.
- Garnish with parsley, if desired.
