Turkey Corn Chowder Recipe
TURKEY CORN CHOWDER This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Seeley Estate in Mesquite, Texas in 2000.

Ingredients
  • 1 large white onion chopped
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 pound fresh ground turkey
  • 12 ounce can whole kernel corn
  • 1 large potato peeled and diced
  • 16 ounce can tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 2/3 cup canned evaporated milk

Directions
  1. Sauté onion in oil in large kettle until transparent then push to 1 side.
  2. Add turkey and cook stirring until lightly browned then add remaining ingredients except milk.
  3. Stir well then cover and bring just to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes then just before serving remove from heat and stir in milk.

I don't care for ground turkey (just me) but this would be great with chopped chicken breast. ;')
