Sweet Club Sandwich Recipe

Sweet Club Sandwich Recipe
Great sandwich for the kids! Got the basic recipe from Quick Cooking Magazine in 2000. We've been eating them ever since. I have to make 2 of these to satisfy my family. Serve with potato soup.

Ingredients
  • 2 tubes of refrigerated crescent rolls (8oz - each)
  • 2 Tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 Tablespoons honey, divided
  • 6 ounces turkey slices (We substitute pepperoni.)
  • 6 ounces ham slices
  • 6 ounces Muenster or Monterrey Jack cheese
  • 1/3 cup raspberry jam ( We use strawberry.)
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds (We leave these off.)

Directions
  1. Unroll both tubes of crescent roll dough. You will create 2 rectangles per tube. Put the triangles onto an ungreased baking sheet. Place 2 triangles together to form a rectangle. Press the perforations to seal. Repeat with remaining triangles. Place each rectangle about 2 inches apart.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and 2 Tablespoons of honey. Brush this over each rectangle of dough. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes. Remove from oven.
  3. Layer as follows: Crust, turkey (or pepperoni), second crust, cheese and ham, third crust, spread with strawberry jam, fourth crust (top), spread with remaining honey.
  4. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes until the crust is golden brown. Cut into 8 slices.
