How to make it

  • Soak lentils min. 8 hours or over night in luke warm water.
  • Cook lentils 30 min in the pressure cooker and let cool down.
  • Put garlic, onions, ginger, parsley, celery, cous-cous and lentils + 2 tbs water in the blender and beat for 1 min, add tomato paste , spices, baking powder flour, salt and pepper to taste and beat for another 30 sec.
  • Place round keftes (balls) and bake in hot oil 4-5 min till browned on all sides, drain on kitchen paper and serve warm or at room temperature.
