Keftes with lentils

- 250 gr red lentils. shopping list
- 2 big onions chopped. shopping list
- 5 cloves garlic chopped. shopping list
- 2 ts ginger shredded. shopping list
- 120 gr parsley chopped. shopping list
- 1 tbs celery leaves chopped. shopping list
- 1 tbs tomato paste. shopping list
- 1 ts ground cumin. shopping list
- 1/4 ts currey. shopping list
- 1/4 ts cayenne pepper. shopping list
- 120 gr flour. shopping list
- 1 ts baking powder. shopping list
- 2 tbs cous-cous shopping list
- 5 tbs olive oil. shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste. shopping list
How to make it
- Soak lentils min. 8 hours or over night in luke warm water.
- Cook lentils 30 min in the pressure cooker and let cool down.
- Put garlic, onions, ginger, parsley, celery, cous-cous and lentils + 2 tbs water in the blender and beat for 1 min, add tomato paste , spices, baking powder flour, salt and pepper to taste and beat for another 30 sec.
- Place round keftes (balls) and bake in hot oil 4-5 min till browned on all sides, drain on kitchen paper and serve warm or at room temperature.
