Thanks to my friend, Jaci, I love to have this dish when the winter blahs have got me down. I'm rather fond of it with fish.

Ingredients
  • 3 Tbsp ghee, oil or butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds or ground mustard
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne
  • 6 med potatoes, diced
  • 1/4 head cabbage, coarsely shredded
  • 2 c water
  • 1 c yogurt
  • 2/3 c green peas or 1 can drained chick peas

Directions
  1. heat oil and add spices
  2. simmer 10 minutes to develope flavours
  3. add potatoes and cabbage,stirring to coat
  4. cook 5 minutes
  5. add water, cover and simmer 30 min. stirring occasionally
  6. remove cover and add yogurt and peas
  7. heat thru
