- 1-cup self rising flour shopping list
- 1-cup cornmeal shopping list
- 2-large eggs shopping list
- 1-tbspn sugar shopping list
- Pinch of slat shopping list
- 1/4-cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1/3-cup + 1-tbspn water shopping list
- 1/2-stick unsalted butter, melted shopping list
- oil for frying (I use canola but the recipe called for vegetable oil or butter) shopping list
How to make it
- Mix together all the ingredients except the oil
- Heat the oil for frying and drop 2-tbspn of batter into skillet for each cake.
- Cook cakes about 2 minutes then flip and cook 1 more minute on other side.
- Drain on paper towel
- Serve hot with honey or syrup
