Red Flannel Hash Recipe
I adore the colour of this dish and nothing "brightens" up a cold winter day better than a steaming plateful of this family favourite.

Ingredients
  • 1 can Hereford brand corned beef
  • 1 - 14 oz can Harvard style diced beets
  • 1 sm onion, diced
  • 1 lb frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1 Tbs. each butter and EVOO
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • sour cream for garnish

Directions
  1. Saute onion in butter/EVOO for 5 minutes.
  2. Add hash browns and fry til golden
  3. Break up beef and add to spuds along with salt and pepper and garlic
  4. Cook 5 minutes and add beets
  5. Heat thru and serve with a dollop of sour cream
  6. Serve leftovers next day for breakie with poached eggs
