Runny Butter Tarts Recipe
Plumping the raisins really makes the difference between a butter tart and a RUNNY butter tart. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c raisins
  • boiling water
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1/2 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c corn syup or Lyle's golden syrup
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • pastry for 12 large tarts

Directions
  1. Plump raisins in boiling water for 5 - 10 minutes.
  2. Cream together butter and brown sugar
  3. Add salt and syrup, egg and vanilla and stir well
  4. Drain and add raisins
  5. Fill tart shells 3/4 full
  6. Bake at 450 F for 15 - 20 minutes or til browned and bubbly.
  7. Allow tarts to cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
  8. Be CAREFUL when eating or you WILL wear it.
