GARLIC GINGER WATER CHESTNUT BEEF This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Parsons Estate in Kaufman, Texas in 1994.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound beef cut into small pieces
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 can water chestnuts
  • 1 can bamboo shoots
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions
  1. Stir fry beef with oil, soy sauce and spices for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and add bamboo shoots and water chestnuts then serve over hot rice.
