How to make it

  • Put everything in large pot bring to boil. Lower heat to simmer for at least 1 hour. Stir often.
  • I let it simmer sometimes ½ day and I always add more beans and chicken and sometimes ad a few veggies like celery and carrots chopped small.
  • This is a good Crock pot recipe also for those days when you will be gone and want supper ready when you come home.

    I could definately see a busy mom making this in a crock pot. If you were to add whole, boneless breasts and cook it all day, you could very easily serve it with tortillas, just like you would a taco meal for your family.
