this dish should take 30 minutes tops to prep and cook, and I will even have time to go outside and smoke. Eat your heart out Racheal Ray.

Ingredients
  • shallots
  • garlic
  • white wine
  • shaved ham
  • diced veg (whatever you have in the ice box)
  • pork stock(or broth)
  • halibut
  • salt
  • pepper
  • big crusty bread!

Directions
  1. shave shallots and garlic
  2. put to a pot with a bit of oil to sweat
  3. once translucent add a cup of wine
  4. reduce to au sec
  5. add broth and veggies
  6. let simmer till fish is done
  7. get saute pan with oil shimmering hot
  8. season fish
  9. and get a nice hard sear on the flesh side
  10. turn over and finish in the oven
  11. ladel broth into bowel
  12. set fish in center
  13. tear off a chunk of bread and enjoy
