How to make it

  • Chop and drain green tomato
  • in food chopper or with hand grinder (like Mom did it)
  • puth them into a white cheese cloth or white cloth and hang over sink to drain , twist them to squeeze out excess liquid
  • grind: cabbage, peppers, onions, carrots
  • Put : cellery seed, mustard seed, vinegar and sugar in large cooker
  • Boil for 15 min stirring ocassionally
  • Turn off heat
  • Add all the vegetable into large cooker with the boiled mixture
  • Mix thoroughly
  • Can in Glass 1/2 pint jars
  • Makes about 8
