How to make it

  • pulverize club crackers in a food processor or with a rolling pin/zip lock baggie
  • add seasoning to taste note: I don't usually measure the seasoning, but I will try to do so next time and add it - tastes vary so use what suits you. also, I don't use anything but the crushed crackers and salt for morels/mushrooms
  • coat whatever you are cooking (chicken strips, pork chops, etc) in beaten egg and then in you cracker mixture
  • fry
  • NOTE: this works great for morels - and you can even freeze them for out of season enjoyment by dipping them in the egg, the crumbs, and then freezing on a parchment lined cookie sheet. I also use this for wild turkey and duck breasts
