Ingredients
  • 14 Large Cucumbers
  • Boiling Water
  • -------syrup----------
  • 4 Cups Vinegar
  • 6 Cups Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Pickling Spice
  • 2 Tablespoons Salt

Directions
  1. Wash cukes; pour boiling water over for 4 mornings.
  2. On 5th morning slice to 1/4 inch thick; make the syrup and pour over (hot) for 3 mornings. Draining and using the same syrup each morning.
  3. On the 4th morning bring syrup to a boil; drop the cukes in and bring to a boil. Add approx. 1 tbs. alum for each batch. Add food coloring. Seal hot
