How to make it

  • Wash cukes; pour boiling water over for 4 mornings.
  • On 5th morning slice to 1/4 inch thick; make the syrup and pour over (hot) for 3 mornings. Draining and using the same syrup each morning.
  • On the 4th morning bring syrup to a boil; drop the cukes in and bring to a boil. Add approx. 1 tbs. alum for each batch. Add food coloring. Seal hot
