How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Sift flour with baking soda, baking powder, and salt
  • Cream butter until light and fluffy, gradually adding in sugars
  • Add eggs, rind and vanilla and beat well
  • Blend in flour mixture, rolled oats, nuts, raisins, dates and coconut
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes
